SB Power Pty Ltd was contracted by Blue Leaf Energy (pty) ltd to procure and project manage the swop-out of 146 Pick n Pay Clothing stores UPS systems with an Inverter and Lithium Ion Battery solution. The time line of 6 weeks for the project was essential for Pick n Pay to ensure all the stores had the required systems in place to ensure that their operations would not be disrupted by load shedding.

Product and Pricing:

The project required SB Power Pty Ltd to manage and secure all the necessary products for this roll out and provide Blue Leaf Energy (pty) ltd and their sub-contractors with the equipment to install each and every store nation wide. The procurement of the equipment was a big challenge due to the shortages of the required products in the industry over the last few months of 2022.

Pricing was of the utmost importance to keep the project within budget. Adding to the challenge was the fluctuating prices of the products due to the rate of exchange, which made the securing of the project prices for each product that much more challenging. SB Power Pty Ltd managed to negotiate these prices throughout the project in order to secure the agreed rates to supply all the stores and contractors with the equipment.

Logistics:

Being a national project, SB Power Pty Ltd had to make sure it had the most reliable and dedicated logistics partnerships in order to supply contractors within the set timeline. Through it’s extensive network they managed to acquire teams across all provinces that would be able to work within certain parameters to implement each system. This was key to the success of the project and having the close relationships with Blue Leaf Energy (pty) ltd and their sub-contractors in their network made all the difference to the projects success.

SB Power Pty Ltd would like to congratulate Blue Leaf Energy (pty) ltd and their contractors for their impeccable work and dedication during the project. This project could also not have been as successful as it was without it’s suppliers like Hubble Lithium and other valuable supplier who went the extra mile for SB Power Pty Ltd.

Project synopsis:

SB Power Pty Ltd and Blue Leaf Energy (pty) ltd spent many weeks and days making sure that all the administrative processes ran smoothly, the project timelines was met and the required specifications of the project was in place and compliant for each and every store to endure the required load shedding run time.

The magnitude of this project was immense. That said, SB Power Pty Ltd effectively succeeded in keeping the project on-time and within budget. This showed their professionalism, resilience and dedication to be able to handle a project of this size and importance.

SB Power Pty Ltd would also like to thank Blue Leaf Energy (pty) ltd for the opportunity to be involved with this project and they look forward to all future projects in 2023.

Having sold out our stock of Jinko Solar Panels we received our new stock this week. SB Power has been able to keep the stock prices on the Tier 1 Jinko 545watt Tiger72HC and the Tier 1 Jinko 470watt TigerTR range at the same price as the last few months.

Our panels have been used for various projects across domestic and commercial projects nationally. Our panels have been selected as exclusive modules for these projects, which shows the Jinko Solar Panel range to be of a high quality, and well priced in the market.

SB Power has also been selected to do a roll out for a national project to supply our Jinko Solar Panel range, inverters and batteries which establishes us as a reliable and cost effective solution for your solar energy projects.

Having to go up against solar panel supplier which have established client bases, SB Power has been doing a lot of work in the background to reach out to new clients with our solutions and products. We have managed to secure a variety of long term contracts that is giving us the opportunity to provide our clients with a high quality product at a good rate.

We have also been approached by a variety of clients to provide technical support and procure equipment for their projects which has given us the reputation of an established player in the renewable energy industry.

We are happy to report that our growth has been steady and solid, which has been converted in SB Power being the new kid on the block as a go to solar and back up power solutions company.

Thank you to all our customers for their support and to our suppliers for giving us the opportunity to do what we passionate about and have been doing over the last 20 plus years.

New Tech Power is a solar energy installer that provides services in the residential, commercial and agriculture sectors driven by service excellence whilst ensuring their clients always have options to the latest technology in renewable energy solutions. They recently installed a system using SB Power’s Jinko Solar panel range. The choice was easy for Marnus Hugo of New Tech Power for this project as it was the Jinko Solar panels technology that provided the solution they needed for this project.

Another installation of our Jinko Solar Panels by New-Tech Power in Cape Town. They used both the 545watt Tiger72HC and the 470watt TigerTR modules for this installation. These panels are Mono-crystalline with best in class 12 Year Product Warranty and 25 Year Linear Power Warranty and only 0.55% Annual degradation over twenty-five years. The 470watt TigerTR panel shading loss of it’s half-cell is much better than normal modules in certain shading conditions.

The Tiger72HC 545watt panels are Mono-Facial Module with MBB Half Cell TechnologyvPositive power tolerance of 0~+3%. This panel has less shading loss due to it’s half-cell technology and is much better than normal modules in certain shading conditions. The Multi Busbar Technology it has really effective light trapping and current collection to improve module power output and reliability.

The TigerTR modules were chosen for it’s tiling ribbon technology to eliminate inter-cell gap and increase module efficiency significantly. The 9 Busbar Technology decreasing the resistance loss that allows the technology to decrease the distance between bus bars and finger grid line which is a benefit to power increase.

SB Power had the stock readily available for the project which was delivered from their Montague Gardens warehouse so that there was no delays in implementation. Riaan Kriel from SB Power said that he has worked with New Tech Power on many occasions and their professionalism and knowledge made it easy to spec out the panels required which led to the decision to use the high quality Jinko Solar panel range.

This project is just another confirmation that using high quality products along with a professional team of installers and suppliers of renewable energy solar systems, is the solution for an efficient and cost effective long term investment to keep business and home powered up in this difficult power constrained environment we facing.
